It’s time to #HelpKidsLiveBetter at Walmart and Sam’s Club!

Local Walmart and Sam’s Club stores are once again joining forces to “Change Kids’ Health, Change the Future” by raising money for Children’s Hospital of Georgia during the annual #HelpKidsLiveBetter campaign.

To date, total fundraising from Walmart and Sam’s Club by associates, customers, and members for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is more than $1 billion. The 2019 campaign alone raised $217,715 for Children’s Hospital of Georgia!

This year’s register campaign runs June 22 through July 19. Customers and members can conveniently donate $1 or more when they check out at any Augusta and Savannah area Walmart or Sam’s Club stores. This year, customers can even round-up their total when checking out at Walmart. During the campaign, associates find additional ways to raise funds including bake sales, in-store contests, and events. Although this year looks different because of COVID-19, our stores are working hard to find new, creative ways to fund-raise while still maintaining social distancing guidelines.

Keep an eye out for Izzy, our local Champion, at the register! Izzy has a condition with a big name – Arthogryposis Multiplex Congenital Amyoplasia. But when someone on the playground asks, “What’s wrong with your hands?” Izzy simply says, “I have artho. Let’s go play.” A world champion in karate and working on her third-degree black belt, Izzy hasn’t let anything stand in her way!

Pediatric healthcare is underfunded. Money raised at Walmart and Sam’s Club helps close this funding gap. All funds raised at Augusta and Savannah area Walmart and Sam’s Club locations directly benefit the kids treated at Children’s Hospital of Georgia.
