Hadley was born three months early with a rare bacterial infection affecting her brain. Doctors told her parents that Hadley would eventually have seizures and most likely not have any facial expressions because of the infection impacting that part of her brain. Hadley had her first brain surgery at two weeks old. At 2 years old, she experienced her first seizure, which lasted more than 45 minutes.

After going to many other doctors across the country, Hadley and her family were referred to the Children’s Hospital of Georgia when Hadley was 9 years old. Last year, she had her fourth brain surgery at CHOG and has not had a seizure since then.

Today, 11-year-old Hadley is doing well and experiencing fun things like going to the movies and trying out for sports.

Hadley was featured in this month’s Miracle Monday, highlighting how the Children’s Hospital has helped her family.
