Help us celebrate the jaguar miracle Dance Marathon

On behalf of Candace Wakefield, president of Jaguar Miracle.

Jaguar Miracle is a student led organization at Augusta University. Jaguar Miracle strives to raise money and awareness for the Children’s Hospital of Georgia! We fundraise year-round for the hospital that does so much to save lives of children in the community and surrounding areas. Each year, the students of Augusta University sign up and commit to raising money for the hospital. We host events throughout the year to get students engaged and to spread the word around our community and our campus.

As a celebration for our fundraising efforts, we host an event called Dance Marathon. Dance Marathon is a six hour event where we pledge to stand for the entirety of the event for the kids who can’t. We stand for the kids who will be treated at the hospital. We stand for the children who have received treatment and we stand for the kids who will need treatment. The event celebrates our Miracle Kids, which have been treated at the hospital. Dance Marathon gives the Miracle Kids the opportunity to share their story and encourage students to continue to fundraise and fight for the kids. Last year, 241 Augusta University students registered and raised $30,015. This was a record breaking amount for our organization, which has served as motivation for us to fundraise harder this year.

If someone you know is participating in Dance Marathon with Jaguar Miracle and you feel led to donate, we would love for you to find the Jaguar Miracle page and donate. We also accept donations during the Dance Marathon event. You can sign up and donate at: http:///cmnh.co/JagDM. We would love for you to join the movement of being the generation fighting for the next!
