Miracle Monday: Meet Jacob!

Meet Jacob…

At her 29-week appointment, an ultrasound revealed Gaby’s amniotic fluid—which protects an unborn baby and helps tiny lungs develop — had completely drained. Through an emergency delivery, Gaby’s son Jacob was born that night and immediately rushed to Children’s Hospital of Georgia’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Gaby would have to wait two long weeks before she could hold Jacob for the first time. After four months of critical newborn care, NICU, she was finally allowed to take Jacob home. Today, Jacob is a healthy, thriving 4-year-old boy who loves Scooby-Doo and monster trucks. His mom credits the high level of quality newborn care in his first days of life at Children’s Hospital of Georgia.
