Thankful Thursday: Meet Avery!

February is American Heart Month, and while we often think of cardiovascular problems as adult issues, about 1 in 100 babies is born with a heart defect each year. Avery was born with a congenital heart defect and needed open heart surgery when he was just 13 days old. His condition required heart surgery again at three months, then at age 2, and again this past August.
