Miracle Monday: AU Heath AirCare

Augusta University Health has launched a new inflight medical program in partnership with Metro Aviation. AU Health AirCare provides rapid transport and highly skilled clinical crews, who will be available for scene response and care during interfacility transport to the region’s only Level 1 Trauma Center. AU Health AirCare is staffed by AU Health clinicians and operated by Metro Aviation pilots and technicians.

This EC145 C2e helicopter also improves access to the Children’s Hospital of Georgia, which has the region’s only Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center and provides the highest level NICU and PICU care for infants and children by American Academy of Pediatric standards. AU Health AirCare puts babies and children in the care of experts more quickly at the time of pick up, during transport and upon arrival at Children’s.
